Once upon a mime...yes, that is how this book starts its visual adventure in Mime Very Own Book by Doug Jones. This book...oh my goodness...I laughed and I laughed. Doug Jones hardly holds back in the most unexpected ways.Don't eat or drink while looking at this book, you are bound to spit it out when you least expect it and ruin this mime-diculous book. Then there will be moments you wish you had brain bleach. Sort of. That will be about the same time you'll be splitting your sides with laughter.Eric Curtis did a damn awesome job with the photography. He made it so believable to have so many Doug Joneses on one page.Mime Very Own Book is not long, but it is jam packed with ridiculously funny stuff. Doug Jones is one very wickedly funny guy who pokes fun of himself while also making us laugh out loud with nary a word said.PS: I purchased the Kindle version and read it on my Kindle Fire and on my laptop. While I still got a lot of great laughs, the smaller size of the graphics takes away some from the pleasure of this visually unique book. I'd say the physical book version would be better, especially if you are avid Doug Jones fan. Doug added a flip-book animation set which nearly gets lost in the digital editions.Kindle ed. is 4 out of 5 stars. Book overall: 5 Stars! Funny, funny, funny stuff.

There's no one with better body language than Doug Jones, and apparently no one with a better eye for folly than the team of authors and contributors who put this terrific coffee table book together. The artistry that goes into every shot is impressive, not only considering the talent of mime and actor Doug Jones, but also the incredible talent required to put together the intricate and ingenious sets and backgrounds. If you're looking for a good laugh on every page, or just an entertaining book to leave out for guests to enjoy, give this one a try.

So far good. I like it.

Absolutely LOVE IT! Doug Jones is the most amazing artist/actor/mime on the planet. Maybe even further...

If you are a fan of Doug Jones or are interested in the art of mime or if you just simply like to laugh out loud, well thus is a book you must-have. It will be especially delightful for those who follow the work of Doug Jones but honestly, there is really something for everyone here.

I wasnt really sure if i would like this book. I did. It was funny and unusual. Its fun to page thru, or just randomly open to a page and see what you get.

Who doesn't love Doug Jones? Doesn't matter if he's Abe Sapien, The Silver Surfer, or just dressed as a fun mime it's always amazing!

This is the funniest darned book I have ever not read. (Well, okay, there's some text here and there, so I did read those bits, but it's 98% photos.) The phrases and scenarios pictured run the gamut from Once Upon a Mime at the beginning of the book to Out of His Mime at the end, and all are clever and amusing. Some are flat out hilarious. My favorites include the Pinup Mime and Central Standard Mime. My sides literally hurt from laughing the day after I got this book in the mail. If you love puns, you'll like this book. If you like Doug Jones, you'll love this book. If you like puns, and mimes,*and* Doug Jones, this book might very well make you pee your pants.

I got this because my professor used it. Dr. Alexis Gray is amazing and she's super-duper cool. Anthropology is a fascinating subject in general and the way this text is organized, along with the included articles, is ideal for energetic and passionate professors. I have kept this book because of the wonderful memories I made with the other students on occasions in which we studied and discussed our favorite parts of each chapter. If you're in the market for this book then prepare yourself for the best time you'll have this semester or quarter.

I've read about three fourths of the book now and I am not impressed. The topic is quite interesting but the content of the book is not all that engaging. The chapter summaries are fairly decent for reviewing though. I am not a fan of the magazine style text books that social science classes seem to love. The CD-Rom has a bunch of links to webpages that are no longer there making most of the disc worthless. Hopefully your professors realize this more than mine does... Shortly after the author refers to Christianity as a superstition (which from an anthropological viewpoint is probably the way to refer to it as all religions) he quotes the Bible probably without realizing it... In general, a boring and underwhelming look on a very interesting topic.

I needed this book for college, and found it on here cheaper than it was to rent it from the university textbook rental. Served it's purpose, and returned it just fine without any issues.

This book was a requirement for a class. I was disappointed to find out that it was missing some chapters, from page 73-126? I don’t know if it’s just the copy I got or what but it makes getting a good grade difficult. ): it was really cheap though so I guess I’m glad to still have the rest of it?

Had to purchase for an anthropology course easy to read and very interesting. It's also good to know that America is not the center of the world and other cultures have something good to offer if your mind is open.

It’s exactly what you expect a book for college to be. Just like buying a book from the book store.

I used this book in my first Anthropology class and this book helped me get interested in the field. It provided so many great insights and information about other cultures, without being elitist. Definitely would recommend for any Cultural Anthropology class!

This book was a pain to get through but it had everything I needed to pass my anthropology class. It also saved me a couple hundred because I didn't have to buy it new. It came to me on time and had very simple and clear instructions on how to send it back. the return process went smoothly.

We ordered the Alice in Wonderland with the green leather cover. I thought it was difficult to tell which reviews went with which versions. I'm really glad we grabbed this version, the cover (despite the ugly green color) is quite beautiful with embossed lettering and shiny red roses and border. The edge of the pages are golden, there is a red ribbon for marking your page. All of the original artwork is presented, and the page layouts are perfect. The front and back cover have a vivid full color painting of the tea party. If you are looking for a high quality version of the book, I couldn't recommend this one more. The size is medium. It is half way between the size of a paperback and a hard cover text book.

This review is for the RED "hardcover" and I will post pictures because when I read reviews prior to purchase I was super confused and had no idea which book the reviews were about.First, the cover is gorgeous but it's not "hardcover" (see photo). It's a lovely soft cover, covered with leather which is partially embossed; the gold lettering appears to be painted on. The back cover is just as well made and embossed as well.Second, this is the full version of both stories, not an "abridged" version. The generous illustrations are beautifully done.I can't believe this book is only $10!I hope my review helps!

I had a difficult time determing which version was being reviewed in many of these reviews, so I am specifically reviewing the version that is illustrated by Anna Bond. This is a great version to use with younger kids- it has larger print and illustrations on almost every page. If you want to purchase accompanying audio to listen with, just buy the unabridged version and it should be a match.

This is incredible! Absolutely beautiful.. Extended my expectations!! I have seriously never seen a more beautiful book! The detail is awesome and even the story itself is from the original Lewis Carroll version. Not only is each page a beautiful pop up.. But each page has mini fold out pages with more pop up artwork. This will be a keepsake for our family. SO glad I bought this and will look at buying others!

I loathe when Amazon lumps the reviews of different books together so this is for the hardcover version illustrated by Charles Santore. The cover is beautiful with an older looking cover and the color illustration of Alice falling. The sketches throughout the book are in black and white. The pages are thick and sturdy but cut roughly on the sides. The font is a great size and spacing and on a very white background. I hate when they use a small print and tight spacing on older books. The sketches are beautifully done and do a wonderful job of bringing Alice and the story to life. They do pale in comparison to the illustrated versions but unfortunately that edition is abridged. I had never read the story before so I was not aware of the differences between Alice’s Adventures Underground and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland but there are many. This book for example does not have the chapter on the Mad Tea Party. That and other parts would be added in to the story so if that’s the version you are interested in than this is not the version for you.

I don't always like annotated editions, but I bought this one because both stories were included and it retains all of the original illustrations like the ones I remember reading as a child. Having said that, I enjoyed the illustrations by other artists included for historical context. Some of them are quite stunning, in fact. The thing I hate about annotated editions is the way the annotations create visual "clutter." Yes, that is the case here as well. I really have to force my slightly OCD-like mind to ignore that and concentrate on the text of the story. However, as a history buff, I enjoy reading the annotations from a historical perspective. It's a big book, so if you enjoy a hefty hardcover, this is the one for you.

This review is specifically for the penguin hardcover cloth-bound classics edition (white with pink flamingos)!Naturally, the tale of Alice in Wonderland (told in two books; Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass) is definitely a fun, unique tale that appeals to children and adults alike, so of course I wanted to own a quality copy of it! I like how this edition contains both books and is hardcover with a simple cover design that looks timeless and elegant on my bookshelf. The book is full of useful notes and information in edition to having the tale; plus it contains the classic illustrations too! The paper is very high quality, the printing very attractive, and overall it was well worth the $10 I spent on it. I thought it was such an attractive edition that I bought one for my sister, who is a collector of the various editions of this tale. I've no complaints except that I don't really care for how rough the fabric is; it's not very nice to hold in your bare hands in my opinion, and it makes a sound when it's placed on the shelf next to other cloth-bound hardcovers from the penguin classics series, so those are two things to keep in mind. I personally would have preferred either a softer fabric or for the books to have been bound in hard-backed pleather.

Review

“Parkin has a deft sense of the ways that video games appeal to and satiate the longings of the spirit...Death by Video Game offers an excellent sociocultural study of the 21st century’s quintessential art form.” —The Washington Post“For the past decade or so, Tom Bissell has been widely regarded as the best video game writer, and his essay collection Extra Lives the best book about video games. That was true until Simon Parkin’s Death by Video Game...Brainy enough to appeal to even the deepest gamer, and yet accessible enough for the reader who hasn’t picked up a controller in years.” —GQ“Parkin has...a literary eye for scenic and investigative detail...Demonstrate[s] the importance of thoughtful, serious criticism on gaming and play.”—New York Times Book Review “This country could use a reexamining of the underlying appeal of video games. Simon Parkin’s book does just that, exploring the different aspects (discovery, evil, competition) that come to captivate player-bases so strongly that individuals will neglect their health to the point of death.” —Flavorwire“Groundbreaking ... his reportage leads to brilliant, fresh insights ... Accomplishing that rare feat of teaching while entertaining, this work ignites a series of debates crucial to the future of video games.” —Library Journal, starred review“The finest book on video games yet. Simon Parkin thinks like a critic, conjures like a novelist, and writes like an artist at the height of his powers—which, in fact, he is.” —Tom Bissell, author of Extra Lives: Why Video Games Matter“Simon Parkin is gaming's Jon Ronson, and his book charts the extremes of the medium to try to answer the question why the hell do we all care about video games anyway?” —Kieron Gillen, writer of Iron Man,Uncanny X-Men, and The Wicked + The Divine “The best book about video games I've read since I wrote one.” —Steven Poole, author of Trigger Happy“Fascinating . . . Parkin takes seriously the notion that video games, or some aspects of them, might be bad for us. Yet he also takes video games seriously as a source of solace for a grieving parent or spouse, a safe form of indoor play for Iraqi children in Baghdad, and a helpful way, like any other form of fiction, for humanity to avoid staring too directly at our certain deaths.” —Chris SuellentropFrom the Hardcover edition.

As expected. No issues.

Delves into what is typically overlooked when it comes to gaming and the potential negative impact it has on those who become too obsessed. A great read for those who are into gaming.

I personally have been an off and on gamer since I was five-years-old. I am now thirty-two-years-old and I have seen and played them all. Sometimes in healthy moderation and sometimes I find myself trapped in “chronoslip,” as Parkin describes it – the loss of time as one battles good, evil, or another person from the other side of the globe. My history mainly revolves around gaming consoles - from the Atari to what I currently own, the Xbox One. And on the PC I spent an unknown and presumably unhealthy amount of time in Starcaft and World of Warcraft. When I inadvertently or purposely decide to submerge myself into video games Simon Parkin’s “Death By Video Game,” truly captured why I had binged for hours, days, and even months at a time - escapism. The idea of escapism bleeds throughout the book along with the good, bad, and ugly of video gaming. This is my first book I have read concerning the gaming culture, but more importantly its history and its merit to the developer and the gamer himself. The book focuses on an array of topics such as the massacre and bloodshed at Columbine and Sandy Hook as the murderers were gamers themselves. It explains why video games are a sort of different medium than television in correlation to freedom of speech. It becomes evident that video games may have limited freedom due to the fear of public backlash like a game where you assume the role of Lee Harvey Oswald and assassinate John F Kennedy again and again...What I really liked about “Death by Video Game,” is that I could relate to his subjects who just wanted to flee from their own lives. As a former World of Warcraft player, I literally could not stop playing until I had realized I was not doing anything worthwhile in my life but searching for loot, the most powerful gear, and the rarest items. And for what - bragging rights and an eerie sense of accomplishment. In the end, no one but other hardcore gamers can relate and that is why this is a must read. Video games have and can ruin relationships and for those who don’t really understand the enthusiast who spends his day in front of the screen should read this. But as Parkin explains there is a certain thrill to it, like teaming with 24 other players online to down the last boss in a raid and reap the digital rewards. It is an experience, and to me it became a lifestyle to do the grind of leveling up, acquiring gold, and fulfilling requirements to proceed to the end game until the next expansion was released. As an introduction Parkin goes to shed light on the deaths of Asian gamers who, well played in excess to their own demise. From there he shifts from political to the positive and negatives of gaming and its young history. It is a very satisfying read and for me, it led me to come to terms that gaming is essentially a killer of time. A genuine waste of time. But so is television and theater.

This is a fantastic insight into the mindsets of gamers and how video games have become such an important part of so many lives, mine included. If you're a gamer who wants to understand yourself better, then read this book. If you're not a gamer but know some who rather bamboozle you, read this book. :-)

A lot of it felt very forced. Certain chapters back up the premise but much of it felt like it was lightly shoehorned in to give it more pages. The theme of "video games let you be in control why other media is passive" is overused in every chapter and became fairly annoying rather than informative. Did not do a great job of exploring the premise of examining those who have actually died due to obsession with virtual worlds. Wouldn't recommend to fellow games industry folks.

This is a really, really good book. It is full of well-written and thoughtful ideas about video games in general and specific video games. There were many games mentioned in this book that I had never heard of, or that I never knew the background details about. I encourage any self-respecting video game player to read this book. Excellent, and I would love to read a sequel.

The most up-to-date map I could find. The one I got is laminated. It includes South Sudan, is beautifully done, and though I received it a little late, it was well worth it.

Great

Perfect size exactly what I wanted!

I ordered this map in April, and just received it in September. It was supposed to arrive in JUNE! Not only did I wait forever for this item, when I finally received it, it was not laminated. I was hoping to be able to write on it with a water soluble marker with my 2.5 year old daughter, but now I can't even use it for the purposes that I wanted. It is also very flimsy (the gsm of the paper they used must be the lowest quality possible). This is the worst purchase I've ever made on Amazon. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

This is a great product. Good value for money.

It would have been very helpful for me to read this book prior to constructing my own backyard system. Unfortunately it was not published yet back then. If you're new to aquaponics or just want to deepen your knowledge about the techniques I highly recommend the book. It contains the basics + it explains various systems.I loved the fact that each description of the systems included a detailed list of building materials to be used.Maybe the 2nd edition will contain more information on how to operate each of the systems and a full section on how to fight against bugs/ aphids and what you can add to the system without killing the fish or the plants.

Poorly written. Pictures not legible. All measurements in metric. Looks like it was printed on a home copier with newspaper Waste of $

Outstanding book for beginner aquaponics. So much good information on every aspect. First couple chapters was a bit to "global warming" oriented, but the meat of the book is incredibly informative

Really good book, basic to learn about raising fish, vegetables, herbs. Come in kindle so you can read anywhere.

excellent book, highly recocomend

Very basic introduction to aquaponics designed for "beginners", but like so many others it contains little of value beyond perhaps the instructions for assembly of small beginner systemsSadly it doesn't provide any beginner with any real knowledge as to the principles or understanding of the "how to" of aquaponics, and is really just another of the plethora of generalised google collations on the subject.Even sadder is the fact that some of the information is either wrong, misunderstood, or misinterpreted.. or flawed in terms of design and/or application...perhaps a reflection of the authors level of knowledgeHaving said that.. it's no worse than the many other such kindle or paperback offerings on the subject, but neither is it any better than most, and certainly not really worthy of the term "An essential step by step guide for beginners".. even with the included system build instructionsIs it worth the price asked.... probably... but that's not really a glowing recommendation

This book is an obvious attempt to take advantage of the top ranked aquaponics book on Amazon, which was published in 2011 and still is the top seller on this topic. The title of the top ranked book is "Aquaponic Gardening A Step-By-Step Guide to Raising Vegetables and Fish Together". The title of this book is Aquaponics: An Essential Step-by-Step Guide to Aquaponics for Beginners". Notice the extreme similarity? Now check out the cover designs of the two books and see how you could easily confuse one for the other. Last, buyer beware - this book is listed as 120 pages which is not a lot of room to cover this subject.

I am not an aquaponics expert but I feel that I know enough to provide a decent review. First the pluses-the book provides good directions for the actual construction of a decent sized system. I liked the discussion of the various crops and fish. As for the minuses, the author did not include a warning about the potential for a used IBC that had previously contained toxic substances (and would contaminate the aquaponics system) Also, the index did not reference page numbers in the book. As for growing carrots, it says that they do well in media beds but it is my understanding that you have to use sand media (vs gravel) This is in order to obtain carrots that are smooth and attractive. I also did not see information on startup or water chemistry. In conclusion, I think it is a good book if you are mainly interested in instructions on how to construct a medium sized system and crop and fish selection.

Phil Anderson’s most recent collection of essays highlights the portion of his career that has been dedicated to thinking about, rather than doing science. Such reflection is a common avocation among physicists, and Anderson has an uncommon gift for resisting the temptations of glib generalization and grandiose rhetoric, which so frequently beguile the reflexive physicist. The essays Anderson highlights here are predominantly purpose-written pieces—editorials, book reviews, lectures, etc. We are permitted thereby to see Anderson and his views in context, rather than filtered through the lens of hindsight. The volume is an excellent compendium of the portion of Anderson’s career for which, justly or not, he is best known.Emergence is the watchword that sums up Anderson’s agenda. If the sum of this book’s essays can be said to have a common goal, it is the advancement of the idea that science, in its most fascinating, fruitful, and as yet poorly understood form, grapples with how to understand complex phenomena by examining how new, novel, unpredictable laws emerge from simple constituents. Anderson recalls arriving at this view through his own scientific work, particularly in the aftermath of the Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer theory of superconductivity, which awakened the physics community to the importance of spontaneous symmetry breaking. He also extends this view beyond physics, to the “seamless web” of science as a whole, embracing—reservedly—the hope that techniques honed investigating complex physical systems might offer insight to the study of complex biological, social, and economic systems.Seen as a paean for emergence, the book might be split roughly in half. Anderson develops his emergentist view of science in the first. In the second, we see it applied to a series of debates, of both contemporary and historical interest. The first half begins with a series of historical recollections. The most substantial of these are the two chapters, excerpts from Anderson’s unpublished history of superconductivity. These strike a balance between biographical background and clear exposition of conceptual details. Sections III and IV contain what is likely to be the most interesting material for many readers. They outline Anderson’s views on emergence, present his attack on reductionist theories of everything, and outline thoughts on how a national science infrastructure organized his way might look. The second half is less focused. Its many tangents include reflections on the nature of scientific genius, lamentations about the hopelessness of futurology, arguments against the wisdom of Strategic Defense Initiatives, and a small spat with Nancy Cartwright over the epistemological foundations of science. Section IX on complexity picks up the thread of the first half again before the final section, “Popularization Attempts,” attempts to articulate what it is condensed matter physicists do in a manner that is, alas, likely to exceed the grasp of most lay readers; Anderson’s scrupulous habit of presenting his arguments in all their nuance and complexity, which is an asset elsewhere, makes him a poor popularizer. The winding path the second half takes, while it does not directly advance the objectives evident in the first, nonetheless provides several instructive examples of how Anderson’s distinctive take on science plays out in actual political, scientific, and philosophical controversies. My biggest gripe is that the book feels slapped together. Many of its 10 sections appear to be ad hoc devices minted solely to impose some semblance of structure on its 55 essays. Several of the later sections contain primarily book reviews. Although Anderson does use the occasion of reviewing a book to expound on his own views, these sections are thin compared with earlier, more substantive sections. The text contains a larger than average number of typographical errors, further reinforcing the unpolished feel. Sparse annotations leave the provenance of many of the essays unclear, and Anderson’s perfunctory introductions to each section give the impression that he set out to write a popularly accessible book articulating his distinctive view of science, only to discover that, in aggregate, he already had. That said, the unmanicured quality that results conveys a sharper sense of Anderson’s views and their development than a more polished work might have. Although a lay reader might find its meandering off-putting, historians and physicists will appreciate the way this book chronicles the evolution of one of the sharpest critical voices in American science.

The Nobel Prize-winning physicist Philip Anderson is one of those rare species - a scientist who is not only world-class in his own field but who seems capable of saying something interesting about virtually every topic under the sun. His career at Bell Labs overlapped with the lab's most illustrious period and apart from his prizewinning work in solid-state physics, Anderson has made groundbreaking contributions to at least two other diverse fields - particle physics and the epistemology of science. In this book he holds forth on a wide variety of subjects ranging from postmodernism to superconductivity. The chapters consist of book reviews, commemorative essays, transcripts of talks, opinion pieces and a variety of other writings over the past five decades. In every chapter there are at least a few rather deep statements which deserve close scrutiny. The book is roughly divided into three parts. The first part details Anderson's views on the history and philosophy of science including his own field - solid-state physics. The second part talks about Anderson's reminiscences and thoughts on his scientific peers, mostly in the form of book reviews that he has written for various magazines and newspapers. The third part deals with science policy and politics and the fourth is dedicated to "attempts" (in Anderson's own rather self-effacing words) at popularizing science. Some of the chapters are full of scientific details and can be best appreciated by physicists but there's also a lot of fodder for the layman in here. A running thread through several essays is Anderson's criticism of ultra-reductionism in science which is reflected in the title of the book, "More and Different". Anderson's basic viewpoint is that more is not just quantitatively but qualitatively different from less. In 1972 he made a splash by discussing in an article in Science magazine how "higher-level" sciences are based on their own fundamental laws which cannot be reduced to physics. In the book he details this philosophy through several examples from physics, chemistry, biology and psychology. He does not deny the great value of reductionism in the development of modern science but he incisively explores its limits.Other chapters contain critiques of the latest fads in physics including string theory. Anderson bemoans string theory's lack of connection to concrete experiment and its failure to predict unique, robust solutions. He makes it clear that string theory is really mathematics and that it fails to adhere to the tried and tested philosophy of science which has been successful for almost five hundred years. Other chapters have insightful commentary on the role of mathematics in physics, Bayesian probability and physics at Bell Labs. A particularly amusing essay critiquing the current funding situation in the United States proposes a hypothetical alternative history of quantum mechanics in the US, where scientific pioneers like Dirac and Heisenberg may not have been able to do groundbreaking research because of the publish-or-perish environment and the dominance of the old guard. There's also some valuable material in here about the sociology of science. This is exemplified by an especially insightful and detailed chapter on scientific fraud where Anderson explores the reasons why some scientists commit fraud and others don't expose it as widely as they should. In Anderson's opinion the most valuable method to expose fraud is to ask whether it destroys what he calls the "seamless web of science" - the existing framework of fundamental laws and principles that allow relatively little room for revolutionary breakthroughs on a regular basis. In many cases the web's integrity is clearly not consistent with the new finding, and the rare case where the web can subsume the new discovery and still stay intact leads us into genuinely new scientific territory. He also takes scientists to task for failing to point out the destruction of this seamless web by apparently far-reaching but fundamentally flawed new discoveries. In other chapters Anderson also comes down hard on the postmodernism distortion of science, critiquing such philosophers as Nancy Cartwright and upholding the views of debunkers like Alan Sokal. He also has some valuable commentary on science policy, especially on Star Wars and missile defense. Other writers have written much more detailed critiques of such programs, but Anderson succinctly demonstrates the limitations of the concept using commonsense thinking (The bottom line: decoys can easily foil the system and a marginal improvement by the offense will result in a vastly increased cost for the defense). Finally, the book contains mini sketches of some of Anderson's peers who happened to be some of the great scientific minds of the twentieth century. Anderson reviews books by and about Richard Feynman, Murray Gell-Mann, Stuart Kauffman, Stephen Hawking, Roger Penrose, John Bardeen and William Shockley among others. I happen to agree with him that books by scientists like Hawking, Penrose and Greene, while fascinating to read, paint a rather biased picture of physics and science. For one thing, they usually oversell the whole reductionist methodology in their constant drive to advertise the "Theory of Everything". But more importantly, they make it sound like particle physics and cosmology are the only games in town worth thinking about and that everything else in physics is done on the periphery. This is just not true. As Anderson makes it clear, there are lots of fields of physics including condensed matter physics, biophysics and non-linear dynamics which contain questions as exciting, fundamental and research-worthy as anything else in science. As just one example, classical physics was considered a staid old backwater of the physics world until chaos burst upon the scene. It's also clear, as was the case with chaos, that some of the most exciting advances will come from non-physicists. There are foundational phenomena and rich dividends to be mined from the intersection of physics with other fields in the twenty-first century.Anderson's book might precisely be the kind of writing ignored by the public because they are too taken with the Hawkings, Greenes and Randalls. To those folks this volume would be an essential and healthy antidote. There's something in there for everyone, and it makes it clear that science still presents infinite horizons on every level. After all, more is different.
