I have bought several of Jerry's books over the years and liked them all. The thing about Jerry is he writes only what he knows about and does it in a way that is very relatable and understandable. Since he was an engineer he is also very thorough. Too many self-published books are done by kindle opportunists who cut and paste and outsource and slap on a fancy cover and game the reviews to pull in the suckers. Jerry is the real deal and a good value. I always say if you get one good tip from a book you got your money back, this book has plenty of down to earth tips and resources. thumbs up!
Jerry's books are filled with information & references...you can start anywhere in this book & read the chapter/chapters which grab your interest. He has a lot of experience full time RVing, plus friends who are living the same lifestyle. If you think that living in your RV is not affordable, Jerry explains the many ways you can cut costs, but also make money on the road. He links to many other Sites on the internet with other people living the same way & how they operate. The book is easy to understand & covers just about any question you have about the financial side of RVing. Highly recommend any of Jerry's books.
As a fulltimer I found this book informative and a fast, easy read. There is plenty of information and links to resources. The key like the author says is "research, research and more research"...,in other words people, do your homework....it will pay off.Many of the references in the book are resources that we use to this day in our fulltime life and we certainly utilized many of them while we were preparing to fulltime.FEAR is a big factor holding lots of people back, if you want to stay stuck then let fear drive the bus and you won't move forward. We were fearful of selling our dream home, guess what that was 3 years ago and we haven't looked back and we don't miss it at all. You won't be disappointed with this book if you are serious about researching the RV lifestyle...go for it.

It was easy to read. The author claims to depend upon editors to make it readable. Maybe he is being modest. It is well written. He gives props to other authors on the subject and plenty of links. Hints on gear, but more hints on sources of info for free / low cost camping sites. The book is packed with information and good thinking.I think the author does an especially good job of trying to make sure the reader has thought through this decision (to go full-timing) thoroughly.
Loved it! Well organized and written! Extremely informative!For the past 60 years I've been tenting, car camping, then camping in a pickup with a cap, a van, a pop up, Class C, now a Class A. You have put the resources to all my experiencing together and more with today's technologies you can find your way/map your route without AAA, fix most minor repairs with YouTube and blogs...and more. Thanks, you will now be traveling with us on my iPad.
Great place to start your research if curious about the RV life. Perspective is real; it is nice to read someone who has an opinion, leavened with author's awareness of his bias(es). Excellent referential resources, both written and video, for issues that need attention even if you don't go mobile. Recommend as an excellent start to researching the practical aspects of transition and travel.
